During the early morning hours of Thursday, according to trooper reports, Joseph "Andrew" Franks IV kicked his way into a residence near South Pauline Court.
Once Franks gained entry to the Big Lake residence, causing approximately $300 worth of damage according to estimates, he put the family member there in fear of imminent physical danger.

While making repeated death threats to the individual, Franks continued his assault by attempting to strangle the family member residing there.
Alaska State Troopers responded to the residence at approximately 2:05 this morning.
When troopers arrived at the scene, they placed Franks under arrest without incident.
Troopers transported Franks to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where he was remanded without bail.
Franks was charged with Assault II, Assault III, Assault IV, and Criminal Mischief. All of these charges involved Domestic Violence according to the dispatch.
The victim was treated by EMS at the scene and released with minor injuries.
