On Monday, October 22nd, a Tuntutuliak resident contacted the Alaska State Troopers in Bethel to report unauthorized charges to their credit/debit card.

The Alaska State Trooper investigation resulted in the troopers identifying a suspect in the credit card crime. Although the troopers did not release a name, they did report that their suspect was a resident of Bethel.

The continuing investigation and interview of the suspect revealed that the person was in possession of numerous other pieces of debit/credit card information belonging to other residents in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta region.

The troopers say that the investigation is continuing into the identification of these other card holders. Other additional charges in this credit card fraud case are expected.
