The Bethel Fire Department Medics received a call early on Tuesday morning about 2am, the caller reported that a Bethel man was unresponsive and couldn't be awakened.

Medics arrived to find Bethel resident Norbert Kashatok cold and lying on the floor in an unheated home. Even though after checking and finding no pulse, the medics attempted to revive him with CPR. Kashatok was transported to the hospital where health workers continued attempts to revive him to no avail. He was pronounced dead there.
According to the report, Kashatok and others were attempting to live in the unheated home. Temperatures are below zero.
Bethel Police are not treating the death as suspicious and say that no foul play was involved. No investigation is pending in the case.
