32-year-old Caleb Grotberg, of Portland, Oregon was the subject of a short manhunt on Monday, as Portland Police searched his neighborhood, found him and promptly placed him under arrest.
The search for Grotberg was prompted by a 911 call made at approximately 2:30 am yesterday morning. That early morning call was made by Grotberg’s girlfriend, she reported that Grotberg had had assaulted her, then attempted to strangle her with his matted dreadlocks.
Grotberg was arrested and transported to the Multnomah County Jail where he was remanded.
Grotberg is being arraigned Tuesday on various charges stemming from the event that include strangulation, domestic violence,fourth degree assault, and second degree Kidnapping among other crimes that include DUI.
The woman was taken to a Portland hospital to be treated for numerous non-life-threatening injuries.
