Alaska State Troopers are asking for assistance from the public in connection to a home invasion/assault incident that occurred on the Kenai Spur Highway on Saturday.

Troopers were notified at 9:26 pm on Saturday night by a caller at a residence near mile 20 of the Kenai Spur Highway reporting a home invasion and violent assault and responded to the scene to investigate.

“A preliminary investigation revealed that an adult male and adult female were assaulted by an unknown individual inside of the victims’ home,” AST reported.

According to troopers, the suspect fled prior to trooper arrival.

The victims, a male and female, were taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The Alaska Bureau of Investigation was called in and ABI took over case responsibility, they report that their investigation is active and ongoing.
