In an attempt to have his neighbor jailed, a Fairbanks man beat himself up the called authorities on Sunday night.

A call went in to the Alaska State Troopers at 8 pm on Sunday evening reporting an assault. The call was placed by 50-year-old Fairbanks resident Tony Gesin. He reported that he had been assaulted by a neighbor.
When troopers arrived, he gave the same story to responding officers.
After their investigation and interviews, Gesin ultimately admitted that he had punched himself in the face repeatedly then called the authorities in an attempt to have his neighbor jailed.
Troopers arrested Gesin for filing a false report. No charges were brought against the neighbor.
