Three men suspected of Robbery I were taken into custody by Fairbanks Police and Alaska State Troopers after authorities matched the vehicle they were riding in to one that was used as a getaway vehicle at the Farmer's Market Sourdough Gas Station armed robbery late Sunday night.
It took the officers approximately 2 hours and fifteen minutes to track down the suspects after the armed robbery of the gas station where video captured parts of the vehicle on security cameras. It was at about 10 pm when two armed men walked into the station wearing masks and hoodies and robbed the store of almost $1,300 and two bottles of alcohol.
Arrested on suspicion of Robbery I at the traffic stop on Airport Way were 19-year-old Brandon Roberts, 18-year-old Marcus Howard, and 18-year-old Matthew Houger. The young, female driver of the vehicle was not arrested during the stop.
All three were arraigned in Fairbanks court on Monday afternoon.
