ANCHOR POINT-On Monday of this week, Alaska Native News posted a story on break-ins and thefts in the Anchor Point area. In that article, it was reported that the investigation resulted in the arrest of Gedediah Nye, age 28 of Homer and Sheena Cundiff, age 29 of Homer. There were several charges leveled at the two subjects at that time.

Further investigations of the two suspects, has resulted in several more charges, as the case continued. Alaska State Troopers report, that as a result of a search warrant issued after the two suspects were incarcerated in Wildwood Correctional Center, several other items were recovered belonging to victims of their crimes. While looking through Nye’s and Cundiff’s property in a travel trailer they occupied, they found other documents, including vehicle titles and tax returns. These items were valued in excess of $2,000 and resulted more counts of Burglary in the First as well as Criminal Trespass in the First.

Additionally, troopers found that the two were involved in a vehicle theft and were in fact living in the victim’s stolen travel trailer at the time of their arrest on outstanding warrants. The value of that theft and damages to the property exceeded $10,000.

As a result Nye and Cundiff were charged with addtional crimes. Those were Burglary in the First Degree, Theft in the Second Degree, Vehicle Theft in the First Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, and Criminal Trespass in the First Degree.

The two individuals , Gedediah Nye and Sheena Cundiff are being held without bail at the Wildwood Correctional Facility.
