TOK, ALASKA-Through tips and investigation, the Alaska State Troopers have arrested the persons responsible for the perpetration of several crimes that have taken place in and around Tok this summer.
On Sunday, August 7th, the Alaska State troopers arrested Duane Wolf, age 18 of Tetlin along with a juvenile from Tok. They were arrested for the burglary of Burnham Construction that had taken place two days earlier. During that incident, two safes were destroyed, $700 in cash was taken, along with a Canon camera, juices, an LED Mag Light and $4,000 in deposit checks. Troopers retrieved most of the items stolen in the burglary. Charges of felony burglary, criminal mischief and theft were filed in that case.
On Monday, August 8th, Alaska State Troopers responded to the Tok River Campground following the report of funds being stolen from the campground lock boxes. During the investigation, it was found that funds were stolen from the lock box at the Tok River campground as well as the Clearwater campground and the Moon Lake campground. Further investigation led to the arrest of two individuals the next day. The persons arrested were David R. Alleman, age 18 and a juvenile, both were from Tok. They were charged with theft and criminal mischief.
Two days later, Alaska State Troopers announced that they had arrested David C. Ervin and a juvenile, both from Tok, for the burglary that took place at the Tok General Store during the month of May. Charges of felony burglary and criminal mischief were forwarded to the District Attorney’s office and Juvenile Intake.
Tok is about 200 miles southeast of Fairbanks on the Alaska Highway. It has a population of about 1,500.
