Alaska State Troopers responded to a report of a gunshot victim in Big Lake late on Saturday night the trooper dispatch reports.

Troopers responded to the four-wheeler trail near the intersection of Wasey Way and Big Lake Road at 1158 pm on Saturday to find that a 24-year-old Anchorage man, Dalton Riggs, had shot himself and had died of his self-inflicted gunshot wound troopers report.

Troopers turned Riggs’ remains over to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Anchorage for further testing and the victim’s next of kin were notified of the incident.
