Like most juvenile proceedings, Anchorage Youth Court (AYC) sentencing hearings are closed to the public.  On Tuesday, September 13, AYC will open its doors to the public and host mock hearings at the Boney Courthouse.  Trained Anchorage Youth Court teen clerks, bailiffs, attorneys, and judges will present mock hearings at 7 pm and 7:15 pm.  There will be an opportunity for questions and answers following the hearings. Attendees will also be able to check out AYC’s defendant meeting space, and youth in grades 7-12 will be able to register for upcoming new member classes.

AYC’s Open House is free to the public.  Join us at the Boney Courthouse, located at 303 K Street, from 6:30 – 8 pm, Tuesday, September 13, as students, parents, supporters, and the community learn more about Anchorage Youth Court.
