Ariel Castor, the kidnapper and rapist of three woman, one of whom was kept captive for 11 years, was sentenced in Cleveland today to a term of life in prison plus 1,000 years. He will not leave prison alive.
Castro was given life without parole for the count of aggravated murder and the remaining thousand years for the other 936 charges that he pled guilty to in court on Friday of last week. Those charges include rape and kidnapping.

The aggravated murder charge stems from the beating and starvation inflicted on 32-year-old Michelle Knight which caused her to miscarry five times during her captivity. A statement by Knight was read to the court today, in it she stated, “I served 11 years in hell. Now your hell is just beginning.” Castro listened without expression.
The Cuyahoga Common Pleas Judge Michael Russo told the 53-year-old former school bus driver, “You don’t deserve to be out in our community,” in court today.
Castor is also not allowed to have any contact with the three women or Berry’s daughter. Berry’s daughter was fathered by Castro during her time as captive.
Castro gave a rambling statement in court during hius hearing. In it, he said in part, “I am not a monster. I am just sick. I have an addiction, just like an alcoholic has an addiction.” He continued, saying, “I am not a violent person, and I do have value for human life.” During his statement, he told the court that he was addicted to porn.
Castro pled guilty to the charges last Friday in an agreement that allowed him to avoid the death penalty for his crimes.
