WASHINGTON, DC – Senator Lisa Murkowski on Wednesday called on the National Park Service and the United States Fish and Wildlife Service to recommit themselves to advocate and advance self-governance agreements with Alaska’s regional tribal organizations in order to strengthen Alaska Native participation in the management of public lands surrounding their communities.

Planned Parenthood Sues to Block Intrusive Abortion Regulations

ANCHORAGE: Planned Parenthood announced it is suing to block unprecedented, intrusive regulations that would require women to report personal medical conditions to the government. Unilaterally instated by the Parnell Administration earlier this month, despite being rejected by the legislature last year, the regulations would place further restrictions on abortion procedures deemed medically necessary.
