IRAQ-The United Nations envoy to Iraq yesterday voiced concern as he met with senior officials in the country’s Kurdistan region over Iraq’s continued political stalemate and rising sectarian tensions.

KIVALINA, Alaska-Tuesday's election in the small Inupiaq community of Kivalina, resulted in an overwhelming "Yes" vote on the relocation of the aging school in the small northwestern community. The vote was 117-11 in favor of building a new school 7 miles to the northeast of the barrier island village in an area called Kisimagiuqtuq.
BERING SEA-The Russian oil tanker, "Renda," hit a glitch last night as it began its historic trek to the northern city of Nome to deliver its cargo of 1 million gallons of diesel and 400,000 gallons of gasoline.
