Panetta, South Korean Counterpart Pledge Close Cooperation

WASHINGTON, Dec. 30, 2011 – Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta and his South Korean counterpart, Minister of Defense Kim Kwan-jin, discussed the situation on the Korean Peninsula during a telephone conversation yesterday evening.

Two Lummi Indians Charged with First Degree Murder in Stabbing Death of Another Lummi Tribal Member

BELLINGHAM, Washington-First degree murder charges have been leveled against two members of the Lummi tribe for the murder of a third tribal member. According to court documents, the murder occurred on Lummi Tribal Trust land near Bellingham on December 17th.

U.S. Agrees to Sell 84 F-15 Fighter Jets to Saudi Arabia

WASHINGTON D.C.-U.S. Officials announced yesterday that the United States would sell 84 new F-15SA fighter jets and upgrades for 70 existing aircraft to Saudi Arabia for nearly $29.4 billion. The upgrades include munitions, spare parts, training, maintenance and logistics. The aircraft are produced by the Boeing Company.

Pedestrian Struck by Northbound Driver at Intersection of Muldoon and Sixth Avenue

ANCHORAGE, Alaska-An Anchorage pedestrian is in critical condition in a local hospital after sustaining head injuries in a vehicle/pedestrian collision Wednesday night at about 5:15 pm. The pedestrian was identified as 33 year-old Benjamin Raley.
