KETCHIKAN, Alaska—Ketchikan-Misty Fiords District Ranger Jeff DeFreest is acting immediately to protect eulachon stocks in waters that flow into District 1 due to anticipated low eulachon returns in 2012.
(Juneau) – Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) Commissioner Cora Campbell announced Friday that significant progress has been made toward addressing the State of Alaska’s concerns regarding the 2006 revisions to Alaska’s baseline, from which state-federal boundary lines in waters surrounding the State of Alaska are determined.
Colorado was supposed to be an exception to the bitter fights over gerrymandering that define redistricting in much of the nation.
