Body of John S. Dick Found Near Seal River

CORDOVA, ALASKA-A pilot and passenger on a flight with Alaskan Wilderness Outfitting Company, a local air carrier in Cordova, reported to the Alaska Wildlife troopers in Cordova on Sunday at about 9:30 am that they had spotted a body from the air.

Charges to Be Dropped Against Strauss-Kahn Tomorrow

NEW YORK-The Attorneys for both the alleged victim Nafissatou Diallo, the hotel housekeeper, and for Strauss-Kahn, who was arrested for raping her in a hotel room, have confirmed that the case against Strauss-Kahn will be dropped.

Cab Driver Arrested For Sexual Assault of Passenger

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA-The Anchorage Police Department has announced that they have charged a Yellow Cab driver, Chidiebere Nwokrie, age 43 for charges of first-degree sexual assault and attempted sexual assault, as well as second-degree sexual assault. The charges originate from an incident phoned in to the police yesterday, Sunday August 21st.

Tanana Chiefs Work Toward Providing Homeless Housing In Fairbanks

FAIRBANKS, ALASKA-The Tanana Chiefs Conference is one step closer to providing actual living facilities to the homeless in the Fairbanks area. Funding was recently secured from the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation in the amount of $1.8 million.
