Anchorage Woman Receives 28 Months in Prison for Tax Fraud
It was announced by the U.S. Justice Department today that Anchorage resident Helen Delores Maloney was sentenced to prison for Conspiracy to Defraud the Government and Mail Fraud.

Kodiak Woman Medevaced from Evergreen Timber Logging Camp with Shotgun Wound to Leg
An employee of Evergreen Timber Camp in Danger Bay was transported to Kodiak from Afognak Island on Sunday by Andrews Air. She had suffered a leg wound from a shotgun blast on the beach near the camp. The incident occurred at about 2:30 in the afternoon.
