KODIAK, Alaska — The Coast Guard is searching for a crewman reported overboard from a 964-foot Korean-flagged container ship 900 miles southeast of Kodiak Island Saturday.
Begich Pushes EPA to End I/M Program for Anchorage

AFGHANISTAN-A truck driven by a Taliban suicide bomber struck an advance combat outpost in the central east Wardak province at 5:15 pm on Saturday. Reports indicate that 89 people were injured in the attack, including 77 American soldiers.
NASA's UARS Will Re-Enter Atmosphere Late September, Early October
NASA's Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite, or UARS, is expected to re-enter Earth's atmosphere in late September or early October 2011, almost six years after the end of a productive scientific life. Although the spacecraft will break into pieces during re-entry, not all of it will burn up in the atmosphere.
