KODIAK, Alaska — A Coast Guard Air Station Sitka MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew rescued two men from a capsized skiff 28 miles southwest of Sitka Saturday.

November 18, 2011, Anchorage, Alaska – Governor Sean Parnell Friday announced appointments to the Alaska Commission on Aging, Alaska Safety Advisory Council, Alaska Workforce Investment Board, Board of Nursing, Board of Veterinary Examiners, Fire Standards Council, Real Estate Commission, State Vocational Rehabilitation Committee, and the Statewide Independent Living Council.

Walmart Deviant Convicted of Public Lewdness

JUNEAU, Alaska-On Thursday, Eugene J Bourdon, age 53, of Juneau, was convicted on one count of Public Lewdness. The trial by jury lasted one day in District Court. He received the maximum sentence for the charge, 90 days in jail. Public Lewdness is a Class"B" misdemeanor.
