SEWARD, ALASKA-Seward police were notified of a body washed ashore at the Seward Waterfront Park on Monday, August 15th, shortly after 9 in the morning. There were no immediate clues as to the identity of the man found.
Seward Police have estimated the age of the male to be between forty and fifty years of age. The Seward Police Department has searched the Alaska State Trooper database for current missing persons alerts matching the description of the man found, but so far have no clues. The State Medical Examiner has possession and is in the process of fingerprinting.
Police say that there was not any immediate signs of foul play and the body was not badly decomposed. They declined to release any further character description. They stated that if fingerprinting did not confirm identity, physical descriptors would be released later in the hopes that someone will come forward with information.
