It was announced yesterday by U.S. Attorney Karen Loeffler that an Ohio woman has been sentenced in U.S. District Court in Juneau for a drug and money laundering conspiracy.

Kimberly McCarthy to be Put to Death Tuesday in Rare Female Execution

The execution of 51-year-old Kimberly McCarthy is scheduled to take place on Tuesday evening, and if the sentence is carried out, will be the first female since September of 2010 to be put to death.
