Statewide Tolling-of-the-Bells to commemorate Great Alaska Earthquake

Bells will ring out all across Alaska at 5:36 p.m. today, March 27, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Great Alaska Earthquake. The Magnitude 9.2 quake, which struck at that time in 1964, caused widespread damage including the loss of lives and destruction of villages.
