Senate Votes to Approve Tax Cut Legislation
WASHINGTON-Within an hour after the U.S. House passed the payroll tax cut, the Senate did likewise on a 60-36 passing vote. The legislation now goes to the desk of the President for signing.

WASHINGTON-In a 293-132 vote, the U.S. House approved the Payroll Tax cut, it is now being sent to the Senate. The Senate need only approve it with 50 votes.
