Moments after President Obama announced new sanctions against 20 Russian individuals and a Russian bank for that countries attempts to annex portions of eastern Ukraine, Russia responded with sanctions against the U.S.
In an effort to end the four-year probe and prosecution by the U.S. Justice Department, it was announced on Wednesday that Toyota has reached a deal with the prosecution to pay a settlement of $1.2 billion. That settlement is the largest ever settlement levied at an automaker by the U.S. Government.
A 4.4 magnitude earthquake shook south California at 6.25 am PDT. The quake was centered in the San Fernando Valley and occurred six miles from Beverly Hills, seven miles from Century City and seven miles from Santa Monica at a depth of five miles.
