Japan's Fukushima Power Plant Suffers Another Spill

The Tokyo Electric Power Company, or TEPCO, the operator of the Fukushima power plant, announced another spill at the wrecked nuclear reactor site. This time approximately 115 gallons of toxic waste water spilled and in all likelihood ended up in the Pacific Ocean according to the power company on Thursday.

North Korea Restarts Yongbyon Nuclear Reactor According to Johns Hopkins

New evidence that North Korea's 5-Megawatt Yongbyon nuclear reactor is up and running again, came out from Johns Hopkins, with satellite imagery showing hot waste-water being discharged into the Kuryong River from a pipeline connected to the plant.

US Congressional Leaders, President to Meet on Government Shutdown

CAPITOL HILL — The White House has announced that the top four Republican and Democratic congressional leaders are going to the White House late Wednesday afternoon to meet with President Barack Obama to try to resolve a political stalemate that has shut down large parts of the U.S. government.
