CAPITOL HILL — The U.S. Senate has overwhelmingly approved a bipartisan agreement to spare most Americans from steep tax hikes and delay across-the-board federal spending cuts imposed by the so-called “fiscal cliffâ€.

President Obama cut short his vacation in Hawaii in order to get back to Washington in an effort to reach a deal that would avert the country's falling off of the "fiscal cliff" on January 1st.
Early Sunday morning, at 12:45 police in Alexandria, Virginia police pulled over a vehicle that they had observed had run a red light. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Senator Michael Crapo, 61-year-old Republican from Idaho.
