SALCHA- Groundbreaking ceremonies took place yesterday in Salcha for the new Tanana River bridge. When completed the bridge will span nearly one mile and be able to accommodate both wheeled and rail transport. It was designed to provide dependable access to the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex.
ANIAK-This Sunday afternoon at about 2:30 pm, the VPSO in Aniak was notified of a stabbing incident that had just taken place at a residence on First Road in Aniak. Alaska State Troopers and the VPSO responded to the scene and secured the residence for medical personnel.

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA-This week, a Federal Grand Jury handed down a four-count indictment against another Alaska Eskimo Whaling Commission official. The charges handed down against Maggie Ahmaogak, 61 of Barrow, are wire fraud, money laundering, and two counts of theft and misapplication of funds from an organization that receives federal funds.
