Venetie Woman Receives Five Years for Leaving the Scene after Hitting Retired School Teacher

Venetie woman, Sonja Yatlin, age 33, went before Superior Court Michael McDonald on Monday for a sentencing hearing and was served up a sentence of over five years in prison for hitting 92-year-old Yolanda Rockar then driving away.

Troopers Preparing for Anti-DUI Campaign for Thanksgiving Holiday

(ANCHORAGE, Alaska) – The Alaska State Troopers will be out conducting extra traffic enforcement efforts to ensure the safety of Alaskans while they celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday. While patrols will be somewhat focused on DUI enforcement, troopers will also be watching for speeding, aggressive driving, distracted driving and people not wearing their seatbelts.

Governor Urges General Carlisle to Seek More Input on Aggressor Squadron Relocation
