ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Governor Sean Parnell announced yesterday that his Fiscal Year 2013 budget includes $60 million for construction of the new Alaska Class Ferry. A total of $120 million is available to begin construction of the new ferry in the next fiscal year.

The 2 year-old child who was struck by a stray bullet on Sunday night that was discharged from a condominium unit next door has been identified by the Anchorage Police Department. They have identified the victim as Ashton Chinnis. Ashton, the son of Anchorage Police Officer Calvin Chinnis, is still hospitalized in intensive care today. […]
