Anchorage Man Turns Shoplifting Incident into Robbery

On Wednesday the 4th of January, Anchorage Police Department officers arrested Jason Genaw, a 33 year old Anchorage resident on charges of Theft 3rd degree, Assault 3rd degree and Robbery 1st degree.

Gov. Orders Flags Lowered For Former Justice

January 12, 2012, Juneau, Alaska – Governor Sean Parnell ordered state flags lowered to half-staff on Friday, January 13, in honor and memory of former Chief Justice of the Alaska Supreme Court Robert Boochever. He passed away in October. A memorial service is being held in Pasadena, California on Friday.

Fairbanks Man Sentenced to 45 Months in Federal Prison for Forgery and Identity Theft

Anchorage, Alaska – United States Attorney Karen L. Loeffler announced that a Fairbanks man was sentenced in federal court in Anchorage to 45 months in prison on his conviction for forgery of securities, possessing five or more false identification documents, aggravated identify theft, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
