Charges are pending in a vehicle accident with injuries near mile 165 of the Sterling Highway early Monday morning.
Anchor Point Troopers responded to the scene of a rollover with possible injuries on the Sterling early Monday to find the driver pinned under the vehicle.
Anchor Point EMS were called and responded to the scene to extricate the driver of the vehicle, identified as 37-year-old Tyler Johnson of Anchorage. Once removed from under the vehicle, Johnson was transported to the South Peninsula Hospital with major injuries.
Troopers investigated the scene and determined that Johnson had been traveling in the southbound lane and left the road. Over-correcting, the vehicle then crossed over into the northbound lane and left the roadway again, this time rolling over and ejecting Johnson, who was not wearing a seat belt.
The vehicle came to rest on its wheels with Johnson pinned underneath.
The investigation further found that the vehicle, a red 2000 Toyota Four door, had been stolen earlier from a Homer address.
