Alaska State Troopers arrested a Chugiak man on several charges and a federal warrant after a high-speed vehicle and foot chase early Saturday morning AST reported on the trooper dispatch.
When troopers attempted to perform a traffic stop on a silver 2004 Ford pickup for an equipment violation near mile 55 of the Parks Highway at 3:37 am on Saturday morning, the vehicle ignored troopers and sped away at a high rate of speed troopers reported.
The chase that began in Houston, ended in Willow when the driver, later identified as 30-year-old Kyle Wilson of Chugiak, crashed the pickup on private property near Giggly Girls Avenue. Instead of giving up, Wilson opted to continue his flight from justice and fled on foot. But, a Wasilla K-9 unit was able to take Wilson to ground and took him into custody.
When Wilson’s identity was investigated, troopers would find that Wilson was the subject of a U.S. Marshal warrant. The nature of that federal warrant was not divulged by troopers.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adversal-468×60″]
