It was reported to the Alaska State Troopers on Sunday that two burglaries had occurred in Coffman Cove during the early morning hours.
It was reported that during the burglaries, several items were stolen including two firearms, a chainsaw, a logging block with bailing wire and cash.

An investigation into the incident was initiated and a suspect was soon identified. the troopers zeroed in on 23-year-old Klawock resident Steven Colcord as the likely suspect.
When Colcord was located in Klawock, he admitted to the burglaries and led investigators to the stolen items.
Following the investigation, Colcord was charged and arrested for two counts of Burglary I and three counts of Theft II. Colcord was remanded to the Craig City Jail where he is being held without bail pending arraignment.
Alcohol is considered a factor in this incident.
