On Saturday night, in the heavy blowing snow, a Copper Center teen was driving on the Richardson Highway when he ran into a woman walking on the highway, troopers report.
Troopers state that the snow blowing along the highway on Saturday was the major contributing factor in the incident and the driver was not charged with any crimes or violations.
The pedestrian, 38-year-old Yolanda Dewitt, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the accident and was taken to the Cross Road Medical Center for treatment.
Troopers also report that Dewitt appeared to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
The red Audi Sedan was able to be driven from the scene.
