The Alaska State Troopers released additional information on the death of serial killer Israel Keyes while in custody in Anchorage.

According to the trooper report released Wednesday morning, it was revealed that Keyes used a blade from a disposable razor that he embedded in a pencil to cut his left wrist. He also utilized a strip of bedding material to strangle himself according to the report.

There has not been a Medical Examiner’s determination as yet as to which of the injuries was primarily responsible for Keye’s death.

It is reported that Keyes was alone in the cell when he inflicted the wounds on himself resulting in his death. He had been locked in his cell since 9:30 pm the previous night. He was discovered deceased at 5:57am.

Pages of crumpled, blood soaked paper that appeared to have writing on them were also found in the cell. The Alaska State Troopers turned this evidence over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation to be processed at the request of the FBI.

Keyes committed suicide after revealing information on seven other killings besides the kidnapping,rape and murder of Samantha Koenig that he carried out earlier this year. Besides the Vermont couple, Bill and Lorraine Currier, the names of his other victims are so far unknown.
