Alaska State Troopers say that one of several vehicles that Anchorage Chrysler Dodge in Anchorage had allowed Iditarod Race volunteers to use for the event, was reported stolen on Monday.
When reported stolen at 8:31 pm on Monday, it was related to troopers that the vehicle had been used by volunteers in the Willow area, and that a miscommunication between volunteers caused the vehicle not to be reported when it disappeared on March 6th near the Willow Recreation area.
Investigators would find that the vehicle had been involved in a short pursuit at approximately 8 am on Sunday morning. Troopers say that the vehicle “was not reported stolen at that time.” They say it was last seen driving on 6th Avenue in Anchorage.
Troopers are asking that anyone with information concerning the vehicle , identified as a black 2012 Dodge 1500 with the plate number GRJ861, or its theft to call AST at 907-745-2131. or to contact Crime Stoppers at 907-745-3333.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]
