Trooper dispatch divulged on Wednesday that a call came in to troopers at 4:44 am Wednesday morning reporting a domestic disturbance at a residence on East Ashmore Avenue near Palmer.
Troopers responded to the scene to investigate the call. During their investigation, they contacted and interviewed the man involved in the argument, who initially gave troopers a false name when asked. The woman at the scene, 23-year-old Palmer resident Brittany D. Kunz, also attempted to conceal the man’s identity.
Despite attempts to conceal the man’s identity, troopers were able to identify him as 34-year-old Palmer resident Matthew L. Lundy.
Lundy was found to have several warrants issued for his arrest. He had an outstanding warrant for Probation Violation/Failure to Appear for Trial Call for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the amount of $15,000. He also had a $15,000 warrant for Failure to Appear on Charges of Burglary I, Theft II x2, and Criminal Mischief III, a $10,000 warrant for Violations of Conditions of Release. He also had a $1,000 warrant for Failure to Appear for Trial Call on a Driving While License Revoked charge.
Because Kunz attempted to conceal Lundy’s identity, she was charged with Hindering Prosecution I and II.
Both Lundy and Kunz were transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where Kunz bail was set at $500 bail.
Lundy was jailed on the $41,000 worth of warrants and held with no bail on the new charge of False Information.
