In the early morning hours of Sunday, at 4:30 am, the Dillingham State Troopers were notified of a single vehicle accident on Aleknagik Lake Road.
When they arrived at the scene of the accident, they found that a silver 1998 Ford Expedition, driven by 21-year-old Chelsea Clark, of Dillingham, left the roadway on a left hand turn curve in the roadway at mile 13.8, and subsequently rolled. Clark, and 26-year-old Jillian Burton, of Dillingham, the two front seat occupants, were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident, and were ejected from the vehicle.

Clark, the driver of the vehicle, was medivaced to Anchorage for treatment of serious injuries.
Burton was pronounced decceased at the scene.
The other two passengers in the vehicle, 27-year-old Teddy Kirby of Wasilla, and 27-year-old Deserie Bond of Dillingham, were back seat passengers in the vehicle. They both reported wearing seat belts. They were treated and released from the hospital with minor injuries.
Next of kin has been notified and the State Medical Examiner requested that Clark’s remains be sent to Anchorage for autopsy.
Alcohol is considered a factor in the acciddent, the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
