Alaska State Troopers report that there is no evidence of a third party involved in the death of two Emmonak residents discovered in a residence in Emmonak on Thursday.
Troopers responded to the community of Emmonak on Thursday to find two individuals dead in the community there. 44-year-old Louis Kelly and 38-year-old Mary Aketchunak, both of Emmonak were found deceased in their residence.
Troopers say that there is no evidence that a third party was involved in the incident. They also said that they believe that alcohol played a factor in the incident.
The remains have been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office for autopsy.
The investigation into their deaths is continuing.
Next of kin has been notified.
