Several vehicles raveling on Church Road near the Parks Highway had more than moose to watch out for on the roadway on Wednesday.

Several vehicles on the road had to swerve to avoid an individual standing in the middle of the road giving drivers the finger as they drove past him on Church Road.
Alaska State Troopers contacted the man at 6:01 pm and identified him as 26-year-old Daniel W. Box of Wasilla.
Box refused to comply with the officers and challenged the troopers to a fight.
The errant pedestrian resisted arrest and struggled with the officers until he was eventually taken into custody.
Box was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Obstruction of a Highway, and Resisting Arrest.
After further investigation, it was found that Box also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for Failure to Appear on charges of Theft IV and Criminal Trespass I.
Box was transported to the Mat_Su Pretrial Facility and remanded there with a $2,000 bail.
