JUNEAU, Oct. 26, 2012 — The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) Ethel Lund Medical Center recently hired Sarah E. Niecko, PA-C, as a physician assistant. She will work with the Cedar medical home at the Ethel Lund Medical Center.
“The Ethel Lund Medical Center is excited to have Sarah Niecko, PA-C, join our medical staff to provide a full spectrum of family medicine care to our patients in their medical homes,” said Dr. Cate Buley, Assistant Medical Director at the Ethel Lund Medical Center. “She brings an excellent foundation of knowledge from working in rural Alaska and many years of experience.”

Sarah comes to SEARHC from the upper Kuskokwim River village of Aniak, where she worked as a physician assistant for the Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corp. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, health and humanities at Michigan State University. She earned a Master of Science degree in medicine from Western Michigan University. Sarah is certified by the National Credentialing Center for Physician Assistants and she is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants.
“I am excited to join such a strong and supportive consortium, and look forward to reaching more of the Native population,” Sarah said.
Sarah’s medical interests include medical missions, and she enjoys sewing, quilting, running, reading, hiking and spending time with her husband.
