After receiving a report of Domestic Violence from a residence near Wilcox Street in Fairbanks on Sunday night, troopers responded to the scene to investigate the reported incident.

When they arrived at the home, they found that the suspect had already fled the scene. He was identified as 54-year-old Erwin Morgan of Fairbanks.

As troopers investigated the DV report at the residence, they observed Morgan drive past the house. Kowing that Morgan had a revoked license, they pursued him.

Troopers caught up with Morgan around the corner from the residence. When they conducted a traffic stop and contacted Morgan, Morgan proceeded to give them a false name.

Morgan was also found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.

Morgan was arrested for Driving with a Revoked License, Assault IV (DV), and False Information. He was also arrested for Felony DUI. He was charged with Felony DUI because of previous Felony DUI convictions.

Morgan was transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center where he was remanded.
