A Fairbanks individual that has been wanted on several year-long warrants, including one for an August 2014 Escape charge, was apprehended on Monday according to trooper dispatch.
It was at 2:34 pm, that troopers with the Fairbanks Rural Unit located 32-year-old Leslie Nichole McCraven at a residence in North Pole. McCraven has been sought by law enforcement for over a year after she failed to appear on a 2013 Felony DUI and Leaving the Scene of an Accident case. A $20,000 Failure to Appear was issued in that case on September 4, 2014.
After also failing to appear in a previous 2013 theft case, a warrant was issued, and McCraven was picked up and jailed for failure to appear in that theft case. She was incarcerated and eventually placed at the North Star Facility. She fled the North Star Facility in August of 2014. A $10,000 warrant was issued for the Escape charge.
Warrants for failure to appear in the 2013 theft case as well as another for a similar case in 2014 were issued in September 2014. A $20,000 failure to appear in the Felony DUI case was also issued.
McCraven was arrested on the $20,000 Failure to Appear warrant, the $1,500 Failure to Appear warrant, the $2,000 Failure to Appear warrant, and the $10,000 Escape warrant.
She was transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center with her bail set at $33,500.
