Axelrod said in the interview, “There isn’t anybody on the planet who has a greater perspective on not just the last four years, but the last two decades, than Bill Clinton. He can really articulate the choice that is before people.”
It is expected that Clinton will deliver the primetime speech and officially announce Obama’s nomination in September.
It is also expected that Vice President Joe Biden will appear at the convention on the last night, just before the President’s convention speech.
Clinton has already been playing a very active role in Obama’s re-election campaign. He has made appearances at numerous fundraisers, the most recent in Virginia.
