Anchorage, Alaska – Funeral and visitation services for recently deceased Ahtna Traditional First Chief Ben Neeley, who passed away January 4 at his home in Gulkana, have been set.

The first visitation service will be held on Thursday, January 9, at 7:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church, located at 1100 W 10^th Ave in downtown Anchorage. A second visitation service will be held in Chief Neeley’s home village of Gulkana, on Friday, January 10, at 7:00 p.m., at the Gulkana Community Hall. Both visitation services will have a time of sharing.

Chief Neeley’s funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 11, at 1:00 p.m., at the Glennallen High School Gymnasium in Glennallen, Alaska. Burial will immediately follow at the Gulkana Village Cemetery.
