While in the midst of a burglary on Halloween morning, 28-year-old Fairbanks resident Jack Adams was apprehended by the homeowner and a neighbor in the Gilmore Trail area.
Adams was busy burglarizing one of the house’s garages at the time of his discovery. Adams assaulted one of the homeowners during the struggle to bring him under control.
The homeowners subdued and held Adams and notified the Alaska State Troopers at 8:45 am.
Alaska State Troopers arrived at the scene and placed Adams under arrest. As Adams was being handcuffed, he was found to be in possession of Crystal Meth and a glass pipe. The drugs and pipe were discovered as Adams was attempting to dispose of the evidence.

Adams has an extensive arrest record in Alaska. He was currently out on bail in connection with a Criminal Mischief and Felony Theft charges incurred on October 18th of this year. He had bailed out for $1,000 after being incarcerated in that case.
The burglar was charged with Burglary II x2, Criminal Trespass I x2, Asssault IV, Theft II, Theft III, VCOR, Tampering with Evidence, and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance IV.
Adams was transported to the Fairbanks Correctional Center and remanded there.
