On Wednesday, according to the trooper dispatch, a motorist contacted Tok-based AST and informed them that he had been shot at while driving down Red Fox Road.
When troopers investigated, they were told that 38-year-old Benjamin Macmurray from Tok had sped past the motorist at a high rate of speed, then abruptly stopped in front of the unnamed motorist.
After stopping, Macmurray “brandished a handgun and fired shots,” the dispatch reports. When the motorist attempted to flee, Macmurray pursued him. The motorist told troopers tthat he was able to return fire with a rifle, at which point, Macmurray discontinued his pursuit of the motorist.
Macmurray later called troopers and informed them that he had been shot in the arm. He was treated at the Tok Clinic.
Troopers are continuing their investigation into the incident, and all weapons were seized and both vehicles were impounded.
