A body was found floating outside of the Saint Herman's boat harbor in Kodiak this morning. The Kodiak Police Department was called at 10:52 am.

According to reports, the body, later identified as 64-year-old Donald Werbe of Kodiak, had not been in the water for very long.
Harbormasters responded to the scene in the channel and retrived the body and brought it to shore to EMT from the Kodiak Fire Department who were standing by. Once brought ashore, he was pronounced deceased by EMTs.
The Kodiak Police Department reported that Werbe had been seen earlier in the day in the harbor on the floats.
Kodiak Police stated that there were no signs of trauma on Werbe’s body. Werbe’s remains will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Anchorage to determine exact cause of death.
Next of kin has been notified.
