According to the Homer Police Department, Homer resident David William Boone died in a construction accident on Friday.

Homer Police and Firefighters responded to a report of an accident on West Hill on Reber Drive. When they arrived at his home, they found that David Boone, owner of Boone’s Snowblowing and Backhoe Service, had died when an excavator he had been working with rolled over him pinning him and taking his life.

Next of kin has been notified.
